Pan Seared Beef Tenderloin Fillet with Gorgonzola

Pan-Seared Beef Tenderloin Fillet

Serves 2

2 6 oz Beef Tenderloin Fillets

2 Tbs Butter

1/4 Cup Crumbled Gorgonzola Cheese or Blue Cheese

1 1/2 Tbs of Legends Pauley's Beef Blend or your favorite beef seasoning

1 Pre-Soaked Untreated Cedar Plank

  • Soak cedar plank in cool tap water for 1 - 2 hours before start time.

  • Pre-heat oven or grill to 350 degrees. Season fillets with Pauley's Beef Blend by rubbing spice into beef. Melt 2 Tbs of butter in a heavy fry or saute pan - medium to medium high heat. Sear fillets on all sides - approx. 45 seconds each side.

  • Remove from pan and place on the pre-soaked cedar plank. Place fillets on cedar board into pre-heated oven or grill - close and bake for 15 minutes or until done to your liking.

  • Add crumbled gorgonzola cheese or blue cheese to top of fillets - 2 minutes before removing from oven or grill (if desired).

  • Remove from oven or grill - place on dinner plate, and serve.
